課程概述 Course Description本課程旨在應用經濟學的研究方法來評估健康照護的效果，透過整合健康效果與照護成本的資訊，以評估台灣在健保制度之下，各類創新或既有的醫療與保健服務的價值。本課程的內容主題包括以下重點：1) 介紹健康經濟學的基本理論; 2) 介紹成本效果分析常見的三種決策模型; 3)結合預期壽命與健康結果的計量方法與應用實例; 4) 照護成本的測量與社會成本的估計。本課程介紹的經濟分析的方法與統計軟體可廣泛地用在各種健康介入、疾病預防或診斷治療的成本效果評估。
This course aims to apply methods in economic evaluation to assess cost-effectiveness of various health services. By learning the tools to integrate both health outcomes and healthcare costs data, the students will be able to assess not only new health technology but also existing treatments under Taiwan’s National Health Insurance system. The main topics covered in this course include: (1) Introduction to the theories of the demand and supply of health; (2) Introduction to three types of decision modelling for health economic evaluation; (3) Integration of life expectancy and other health outcomes and its application; (4) Measuring care costs and estimation of societal costs. This course will teach the students not only methods of economic evaluation but also iSQoL software that could be used to conduct cost-effectiveness analyses of various health intervention, disease prevention, and treatments.
