課程概述 Course Description

This course aims to build students’ fundamental concept of innovation studies. Some innovation management theories and their implications in current industry and business will be introduced, thereby developing the analytical capabilities of practical innovation issues. The course will discuss the context of innovation theory and model using real company cases including manufacturing-based, service-based, online-based, and culture & creativity-based business, and explore the structural difference of each industrial sector. Based on the comparable discussion, students will learn about the appropriate innovation pattern and business model of creative industry. Students will also be trained to conduct four innovation analytical tools in business practice and learn how to estimate the adoption of innovation, forecast the innovation, develop a business model, and devise IP strategies for innovation protection. The final project of this course will lead students adopt these analytical tools to conduct a innovation management study in creative business cases, thereby developing the necessary skills of innovation planning and business model analysis.
