課程概述 Course Description

本課程內容涵蓋:資料系統的演進,與目前最新的分散式資料系統,資料系統在分散式感測網路上的理論與應用,高等資料查詢處理技術。
This course covers the advanced topics on processing of various types of data (e.g., spatial data, social network/web data, multidimensional data, …).  Students need to present papers and join the discussion on current processing techniques.  Grading is dependent on the presentations, discussions, and final reports.  Students are assumed to have strong knowledge and enough background on advanced data structures and data processing techniques before taking this course.  Also in this course, students need to find a research problem at the MS-thesis level, well-define it, and propose it before the end of the semester.
