課程概述 Course Description

自從有文字、符號和數字的書寫以來,資訊的傳播、儲存與擷取應用開始了社會互動和城市文明的建立。在數位傳播技術與工具盛行發達的今日,更是。空間規劃專業也因此必須更擁抱它。 資訊,在當今的普遍認知,好像是一件東西。但是仔細一想,資是data,分析用的,訊是information,溝通用的。差別很大。如果是為了特殊目的而蒐集的,例如,規劃,那是情報(intelligence)。考慮這些又會導致我們必須重視傳播理論常談的噪音(noise)。這些東西在 ICT 非常普及的時代,誰是專家?誰是素人名嘴?誰傳播的值得採信?整體表現出來的後果是一 個甚麼樣的社會?有哪些問題?這些都是我們必須重視的。特別是在大批網路平台使用、運算程式主控和依賴人工智慧的時代。 這門課旨在教授:一、資訊與社會建構的事實之關係;二、傳播工具和技術的演變所導致的資訊傳播、儲存與擷取應用;三、資訊社會在心理、經濟、財政、文化、藝術、政治、社會不平等等面向的發展與變遷;四、空間規劃在新的資訊社會必須具備的思慮和實踐。
Integration of city culture and civil society emerges with the spreading of writing information. In the age of digital communication, the diffusion, storage, archiving and retrieval of information become much more important. Information can be deemed data and communicative content as well. In terms of professional jargon, purposeful uses of information treat it as intelligence. Especially, when platforms become the communication cores, algorithms mediate communicative actions, and AI predications prevail. This course is aimed at understanding (1) the relations between social construction of reality and information; (2) the relations between communicative technologies and the diffusion/storage/retrieval of information; (3) a sort of impacts by the evolution of information techniques and the informatics on a algorithmic society; and (4) the implications and applications of collecting/analyzing/executing informatics on spatial planning profession.
