課程概述 Course Description本課程將帶領學生熟悉更深更廣的音韻現象，討論規則導向之理論，另一方面也為學生做好學習當代音韻理論－優選論的準備。 教學內容以熟悉世界語言之音韻及構詞現象及理解背後成因為主，當然也會加入適當之期刊論文研讀以及作業練習。
This course will broaden and deepen the students’ knowledge of phonological phenomena in the world and how rule-based theories manage to give explanations. On the other hand, it will prepare the students for learning the contemporary phonological theory : Optimality Theory. Students will get familiarized with various phonological process around the world and the rationale behind them. This course will focus on various (morpho-)phonological phenomena and the theoretical and biological (phonetic) reason behind them. Relevant analytical exercises will be employed and journal articles will be used as supplemental materials when necessary.
