課程概述 Course Description
統計學旨在訓練同學如何利用客觀的數據來從事科學論證與研究，從蒐集資料、整理分析至計算數據、判讀數據等均有一套嚴謹的依據與過程，為從事科學研究必備的基礎訓練課程。課程含有敘述統計（descriptive statistics）與推論統計（inferential statistics）兩部分，並針對某些分配模形進行推論統計的探討。敘述統計主要為資料的圖表分析，並透過分配的概念對資料作一些計量的描述；推論統計則以機率分配為基礎，探討在抽樣後，如何應用樣本資訊對特定的研究問題進行估計或檢定。進而介紹變異數分析、簡單迴歸、複迴歸、時間數列、卡方配適度檢定等特殊分配模形下的推論統計。This course introduces both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The content includes probability distributions, sampling distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, simple linear regression, time series and test of goodness and independence.
