課程概述 Course Description

「史學理論與方法」是歷史學系的核心課程,以培養學生具備歷史學專業能力和素養為目的。歷史學研究的對象是過去,對於如何知道過去的歷史,也就是如何研究,歷史學發展出一套方法和概念來達成——蒐集過去事件或現象的證據,並評估該證據,進而提出有意義的討論,此即歷史研究法/史學方法,是一種研究訓練。這種研究訓練的實踐關注:發生了什麼、如何發生、何時發生、何地發生、參與者誰、結果如何、有何影響、不同史家如何述說和評價、人為重建的過去的歷史是否趨近於真相(過去是否能如實重現)、歷史知識如何被建構與如何被閱讀等課題。對這些課題,歷史學在不同時期的發展過程中,形成不同的思考與批判,主導著歷史研究法/史學方法的認知與實踐,此即歷史學的原理/理論,於歷史學專業的養成階段必須認識。 課程內容分為二個部分,一為歷史研究法/史學方法,一為歷史學的原理/理論。前者兼及歷史論文寫作的練習,也就是書寫歷史,培養合乎學術規範的表述方法。後者是史學史脈絡的認識,先概知演變歷程,而後閱讀不同原理/理論的經典論著,以深熟其原理/理論要旨。
“Historical Theory and Methodology” is the core curriculum of the department of history. It aims to train students with the professional ability and literacy of history. The past is the object of historical research. In order to know and learn how to know the past history, that means, how to study the past, this discipline has developed a system of methods and concepts to achieve. In addition, there are various thoughts emerge in the development of history, the so-called theory of history. And various historical theories dominate the practice of historical method at different periods. This course consists of two parts, one is the historical method, and the other is the theory of history. The former contains the contents mentioned previously and ractice of historical essay. The latter contains understanding various historical theories and reading the representative works of each theory.
