Course Description

The purpose of this course is to introduce a fast-growing cross-disciplanry field, encompassing mathematics, engineering, physics, statistics, and psychology in experimental design. Research tools are also diverse, Fmri, MEG, EEG, TMS, tDCS, etc., each with its own strengths and characteristics. The research topics also span the humanities and social sciences, engineering and medicine. As a key discipline of the 21st century, and the most difficult frontier facing the bound of human knowledge, the study of the human brain and its functions is also an important indicator of countries to demonstrate their national strength and scientific research sophistication. While Europe, the United States, China, Japan, and South Korea are vigorously developing brain sciences, this course also hopes to let students understand this diverse and important fast-growing field through in-depth and concise introduction, center visits, and report writing.
