課程概述 Course Description

流體力學是一門有趣的學科,以牛頓力學為基礎架構。 因為許多問題是非線性的, 所以發展了重要的數學觀念和技巧,以理解觀察到的現象。本課程藉由一些具體例子的討論,學習數學分析的手法。主要的課題涵蓋Euler方程組及其應用。 本課程是針對理工學院大學部學生設計的,每一天的題材都有指定作業。
Fluid Dynamics is a fun subject, based on the Newtonian mechanics. Many problems encountered are nonlinear and there has been a rich development of mathematical concepts and techniques to understand the phenomena. In this course, the mathematical ideas are presented with discussions of instructive examples. Topics of nonlinear waves mainly focus on the Euler system and the applications. This course is aimed primarily at undergraduate students in school of engineering and natural science. Homework problems will be given and discussed for each lecture.
