課程概述 Course Description

本課程涵蓋高等教育中專業英語的教與學之基本概念。主要針對當前專業英語的理論與原則,以及特定專業在課程設計的實際應用需求如教學大綱,教材,教學方法和評量等做介紹。課程目的是讓學生了解專業英語及其起源和發展,以及具備專業英語教與學的理論和實際應用的知識與能力。
This course is designed to cover basic concepts in ESP teaching and learning of tertiary education. The course will be primarily focused on the current principles and practices of ESP, and the practical applications of the course design in the form of a syllabus, materials, methodology & assessment for particular professional needs. The course objectives are for students to understand the origins of ESP and its development as well as to be equipped with theories and application examples of ESP teaching and learning.
