課程概述 Course Description

The course will mainly emphasize Microeconomic theory. Microeconomics concerns the decision-making problems of individuals which will be explained by simple mathematical models. Hence, the knowledge of "basic" calculus and an ability of algebraic operation are essential. We will follow the textbook. We plan to cover at least consumer theory, theory of firm and it applications with emphasizing the later part especially. If we finish these topics, we will cover some of the remaining chapters as time permits. Specific chapters covered will be decided later depending on the logical connection to the already-covered chapters and the students' interests. A stretch of course schedule is listed in last page.
