課程概述 Course Description

課程學習目標: 介紹生理心理學領域的基本知識,包括神經解剖和生理、神經傳導、大腦運作與心智活動如學習記憶和語言認知等的關係,以及感官知覺、動作、性、睡眠、情緒和壓力的生物機制,期望修課學生能對人類心理歷程、行為以及心理疾病之生理基礎有所了解,進而培養探究人類心理現象的生理機制之研究興趣。 課程進度: Biological psychology: scope & outlook (Ch1) Functional neuroanatomy: the nervous system & behavior (Ch2) Neurophysiology: the generation, transmission, and integration of neural signals (Ch3) The chemical bases of behavior: neurotransmitters & neuropharmacology (Ch4) Hormones and the brain (Ch5) First Exam (Ch 1-5) General principles of sensory processing, touch, and pain (Ch8) Hearing, vestibular perception, taste, and smell (Ch9) Vision: from eye to brain (Ch10) Motor control and plasticity (Ch11) Biological rhythms, sleep, and dreaming (Ch14) Second Exam (Ch 8-11, 14) Sex: evolutionary, hormonal, and neural bases (Ch12) Homeostasis: active regulation of internal states (Ch13) Emotions, aggression, and stress (Ch15) Psychopathology: biological basis of behavioral disorders (Ch16) Learning and memory (Ch17) Final Exam (Ch12, 13, 15-17) 評量方式: 第一次考試 30% 第二次考試 30% 第三次考試 30% IRS Quiz 10%
