課程概述 Course Description
本課程介紹不同類別的數學模型,如線性-非線性、確定性-統計性、靜態-動態、離散-連續、演繹-經驗等。並透過物理科學、生命科學、地球科學以及社會科學等不同領域的例子來協助學生以數學語言及觀念來表達及分析生活中事物,並透過所建立的模型進行比對。Several types of mathematical models are introduced in this course, for example, linear-nonlinear, deterministic-stochastic, static-dynamics, discrete-continuous, deductive-inductive. Models in different fields such as physics, biology, earth science or social science, are illustrated to train students that how to use mathematical languages to describe the nature and validate the models with experimental results.
