課程概述 Course Description
本課程屬「古典文學」範疇，兼涉文言、白話二種語文表達之文本 類型。課程論「古典小說」中經典作品與民俗文化的關聯。授課文本以耳熟能詳之歷代小說為主要選讀對象，授課內容既概述筆記、傳奇、話本、章回小說等文學體裁之流變現象；同時經由 「妖異」、「他界」之兩大書寫題材，環顧當時政治環境、社會背景、時代意義，以及時人對於民俗文化的種種認知，並旁及這些文學作品對當代社會的影響性。This module aims at promoting students’ ability in reading classical Chinese fiction and vernacular stories. It introduces students to important writers and works, genres, and other literary elements in classic Chinese fiction, especially stories that feature “mysterious occurrence and the Other World”. This course examines the portrayal of figures livingon the social margins, and across the fault lines of class, politics, religion, times, and folk culture.
