Laser Remote Sensing introduces theory of lidar and focuses on applications of different lidar systems, which draw much of attention in recent year from many scientific subjects. Different types of the lidar system will be discussed, including terrestrial lidar, topographic lidar, mobile lidar and bathymetric lidar. Radiative transfer equations will also be introduced to facilitate the understating the design of lidar systems. Lab exercises for terrestrial lidar and airborne lidar will provide hand-on experience for the students.
