This course is designed to familiarize students with topics related to social web design and research, such as how individual responses and social interactions influence behavior and social change. Students will have the chance to work with the undergraduate students from the department of Electrical Engineering for developing a social networking website. Students are required to perform a group research project related with social web/networking/interactions. Having successfully completed this course, the student will be able to: Understand the design aspects of how online communities operate Identify the factors that make social websites succeed or fail Develop critical thinking, writing, collaboration, and presentation skills
