課程概述 Course Description
本課程旨在訓練學生操作生命週期分析的能力。透過文獻回顧、?案例分析、互動討論、以及實習作業來幫助學生了解生命週期分析的架構與目的,尤其是此分析工具應用於建築構造評估的可能性。The purpose is to establish the ability to carry out the life cycle assessment (LCA). By means of literature review, case study, seminar and practice, this course helps students understand the framework and target of LCA. Firstly, a series of lectures and seminars is contributive to establish the fundamental awareness about LCA. ISO has standardised the LCA and distinguished it into four moduls. The associated lectures and seminars are intended for students to understand the contents of these moduls. Then, students have to carry out a simple LCA in order to go through the procedure of this tool. While modeling, students will find out some problems and limits of LCA, including intrinsic and extrinsic obstacles. This practice and experience lead to the third section of this course, which is a retrospection about LCA. Finally, the subjects will be again oriented and emphasized on the building constructions, particularly the evaluation about their performance, sustainability and carbon foot print etc. The final project is to explore the potential to apply LCA in the building sector in Taiwan.
