課程概述 Course Description

東南亞位於中國、印度與澳洲大陸之間,自古就是人類遷徙與物質、文化交流的十字路口,而東南亞特殊的生態環境變遷也影響本地人類體質與文化的適應過程。本課程介紹東南亞石器時代重要的考古研究議題與考古發現,目的在於使學生學習東南亞的生態環境與變遷、人類演化史、物質與文化史、古代社會發展、族群互動與海洋貿易史。學習東南亞考古能開闊學生國際視野,熟悉東南亞國家的歷史與文化。
Southeast Asia is a crossroads of human migration and material and culture exchange between China, India, and Australia. The dynamic ecological enviroment has affected the physical and cultural adaptation of local population. This course intends to introduce crucial archaeological research themes and discoveries of the Stone Age of Southeast Asia. It covers the topics of environmental changes, human evolution, cultural history, social developments, population interaction, and maritime exchange(or trade). Learning the archaeology of Southeast Asia would help students develop a global perspective and be familiar with the history and cultures of Southeast Asia.
