課程概述 Course Description
本課程將介紹16世紀晚期到17世紀早期之戲劇作品。This course will involve a survey of significant plays and playwrights of the late 16th and early 17th century, excluding Shakespeare. Chronology will be the primary organizing principle, but we will also consider generic and thematic issues. Close reading and critical analysis will be the focus of initial discussions of the works, which will then enable more focused examinations by means of theoretical approaches. Course Objectives demonstrate a familiarity with the authors, texts, themes, and approaches discuss the texts verbally and in writing demonstrate an ability to convey knowledge in a formal setting locate, integrate and document sources correctly contribute to the larger scholarly discussion of Renaissance drama
