課程概述 Course Description
本課程介紹並討論全球煙草使用所產生巨大健康和經濟負擔，並著重煙草預防，控制，監視和評估的實務措施。本課程還探討煙草控制的創新方法，例如終局戰略。本課程將會探討的全球煙草控制議題包括：管理和可能消除煙草使用的國際和國內法律基礎，煙草負擔和全球煙草控制的經濟學，對政策制定者呈現並解釋因使用煙草所造成的最新流行病學危害證據，煙草業的伎倆和策略，基本監測和評估方法。This course introduces and discusses an enormous health and economic burden of tobacco use worldwide and highlights practical approaches to tobacco prevention, control, surveillance, and evaluation. It also explores innovative ways of tobacco control such as endgame approaches. Global tobacco control issues include: international and domestic legal foundations for regulation and possible eradication of tobacco use, the economics of tobacco burden and global tobacco control, the presentation and interpretation of solid and up to date epidemiologic evidence of harms due to tobacco use for policy makers, tobacco industry’s tactics and strategies, basic surveillance and evaluation methods.
