課程概述 Course Description

交通運輸業的碳排放量佔了全世界總排放量約三分之一,也是目前全部產業中最難達到永續及減碳目標的產業。除了碳排放的環境目標之外,永續運輸更包含了社會公平及經濟發展的平衡,三者缺一不可。本課程探討永續運輸的政策與法規、基本要素、國家與區域差異、以及當今趨勢。學生將透過課程中的案例討論,瞭解理論與實務的結合與應用。
The transport sector accounts for around a third of the global CO2 emissions. While other sectors have seen emissions on the decline, the transport sector is trailing way behind. Transport is the lifeblood of social wellbeing, environmental awareness and economic activities. It is without doubt that we cannot build a liveable, fair and healthy city without designing sustainable transport systems. This course looks into policy and regulatory frameworks, key pillars, enabling factors, regional contexts and global trends hindering or multiplying the uptake of sustainable transport. Selected qualitative and quantitative methodologies used to measure sustainable urban mobility are introduced. Students are expected to participate in breakout group discussions on case studies in class.
