課程概述 Course Description

Operations management is increasingly connected with the environment and sustainable development, and it now concerns both the operational drivers of profitability and their relationship with people and the environment. As a result, Sustainable Operations Management (SOM) has received growing attention in recent years. SOM plays a vital role to solve the complex sustainability challenges confronted by many organizations. This course introduces how operations management can contribute to sustainability through product design, production control, flow management and other operational measures. Moreover, the course also covers the interface of operations management with other disciplines such as management science, marketing and mechanism design in terms of sustainability. The course is designed for students who are interested in the role of operations management in achieving sustainability or the state of the art in the field of SOM.
