課程概述 Course Description

先修科目或先備能力: 建議學生應先修習過心理學概論,統計學與資料分析。 課程學習目標: 本課程是為期兩學期的心理系必修課程,課程主要是介紹心理學研究方法。此課程教導學生如何規劃以及執行心理學研究,更進一步的養成學生與他人交換研究概念的技巧以及批判性思考他人的研究。 課程進度: Course Orientation and Research Ethics (Ch3) Measuring Variables (Ch4) Sampling techniques (Ch5) Approaches to research: internal and external validity (Ch6) Descriptive Techniques (Ch7)The correlational research strategy (Ch8) True experiments (Ch9) The between-subjects Experimental design (Ch10) The within-subjects Experimental design (Ch11) Midterm Exam The nonexperimental and quasi-experimental research strategies (Ch12) Factorial designs (Ch13) Single-subject Research Design (Ch15) Competitions: Finding Confounding Psychophysics Lab : Classical Psychophysical Experiment Signal Detection Theory Final Exam 評量方式: Assignments (10 assignments in total) 30% Midterm exam 20% Final exam 30% Competitions and Lab 10% General class participation and effort (including IRS in class) 10%
