課程概述 Course Description

The course aims to equip students with the fundamental skills, knowledge and disciplines to conduct individual academic as well as practical project into the key aspects of creative industries, including organizational, political, institutional, and market. The course draws on research and cases from various creative industries and projects to highlight the cross-disciplinary nature of research on the creative sector. The course begins by defining what is ‘research’ , reviewing and exploring some of the underlying principles and logics. The course then examines the related models, frameworks and tools of industry study in general and the methods/approaches that have been taken for studying the creative industries in particular, and the practical challenges involved. Throughout the course, students will learn about how to develop, plan and conduct their individual research projects through critical reading, reflecting and on-seminars discussions, presentation and off-seminar practices. Student will be able to finish their own research paper/strategy paper/proposal by the end of the course.
