課程概述 Course Description

本課程介紹當代展覽策劃中的理論與操作之層面,課程涵括二十世紀至今展覽策劃之歷史、理論、實際操作面向。透過課堂之引導,學生可以選擇不同探討展覽策劃與論述之研究,而深入探討。本課程將透過對於當代策展的知識累積與學習,來了解當代策展之運用與策略。本課程將帶領學生實際演練、操作展覽實務,而策展可呈現的形式包含:展覽、非體制空間計畫案、事件、學術論文或國際展演企劃書書寫。本課程將提供一系列緊密的學習課程,同時訓練學生形塑一個與其研究興趣相關之展演計畫。學生將以自發之態度來參與此課程,同時需呈現高水準之學術與實際演練的表現。
This module introduces both theoretical and practical aspects on curation. The teaching introduces key aspects of the history, theory and practice of curating from the 20th Century up to the present day. Students choose to research and reflect upon a range of study options, each focusing on specific curatorial contexts. The prime focus of this module will be the application and dissemination of a defined curatorial context and strategy based on the knowledge gained during the studying. Students will be able to negotiate the final form of their curatorial project to be undertaken during the module. It may take the form of: Exhibition, Off Site Project, Event, Dissertation or International Project proposal. This module will be an intensive period of study and will enable students to develop a major piece of work that clearly evidences critical engagement with their research topic. Students are expected to act autonomously throughout this module and to produce work that is of a high professional standard.
