課程概述 Course Description

本課程教授主要以口頭授課的方式,講述從舊石器時代,經過新石器時代、青銅時代、古希臘羅馬、拜占庭以及鄂圖曼帝國時期的希臘世界考古學以及物質文化研究。學生將會學習到希臘世界擴張的歷史以及當代的考古紀錄取徑。主要的研究主題會包括新石器文化早期到羅馬帝國時代城市與聚落的變化以及日常生活。
This course is taught primarily in a lecture format and provides an introduction to the archaeology and material culture of the Greek world from the Palaeolithic to the modern times, passing through Neolithic & Bronze Age periods, Greek and Roman Antiquity, Byzantium, and the Ottoman Empire. Students will learn about the Greek world, the history of its exploration and contemporary approaches to the archaeological record. Major topics of study will include the changing nature of cities and settlements of early Neolithic culture to the Roman Empire, and practices of everyday life.
