課程概述 Course Description

There is a paradigm shift in healthcare services, i.e., from pay-for-volume to pay-for-value, and outcome research has become part of policy decision. The content of this course is mainly epidemiology, which begins with how scientific knowledge progresses through conjectures and refutations, followed by causal inference, basic principles of measurement, epidemiologic measurements (incidence and prevalence rates), outcome measurements (life expectancy (LE), loss-of-LE, costs, functional disability, etc.), and study design, control of confounding, cohort study, case-control study, and integration of both disciplines into health policy decision.

  • 學生能運用流行病學之基本測量、率比與率差,生活品質之測量方法
  • 學生能進行流行病學研究:包括研究設計,抽樣原理,追蹤研究法及個案對照研究法
  • 學生能對發生某特定疾病之終身衝擊,至少包括存活壽命及生活品質,知道如何計量
  • 學生能進行衛生政策與風險評估研究
  • 學生能閱讀及批評一篇研究論文
