課程概述 Course Description

為一種多細胞真核生物,又夠簡單到可以被詳細研究。線蟲每一個體細胞的發展命運都已被確立。這個細胞世系(cell lineage)的規律在各個個體之間是幾乎不變的。除此之外,線蟲是有最簡單的神經系統的生物之一。其總共有302個神經元,其連結形式也已完全被建立出來。更多研究探索了與線蟲的一些特殊行為有密切關連的神經機制,包括趨化性(chemotaxis)、趨溫性(thermotaxis),以及雄性交配等行為,本課程將由深入淺的介紹各類運用線蟲的生物醫學研究。
This is a problem-based learning (PBL) class on the topics of contemporary C. elegans biology. Each student will be assigned to the PBL and paper discussion sections.
