課程概述 Course Description

都市設計競圖為當代都市規劃設計實務不可或缺之一環,也是建構都市空間未來發展願景之重要基礎。方式上透過集思廣益的過程,提供都市空間尺度之個別場域、特定議題的解決方案。內容上強調都市設計相關論述之建立與表達設計方案之精準圖面,據以提供對於都市空間形塑之具體建議。 本課程以實作為主,輔以講授與討論,以小組工作坊的形式,指導並培養同學參與都市設計競圖、操作都市設計議題之能力。本課程為國際都市設計競圖之先修課程,目的設定在對競圖的整體理解。學習與演練重點以國內簡易競圖或計畫案競圖為主,包括:1. 都市設計競圖介紹;2.競圖題目選擇、解題與策略研擬技巧;3. 都市空間之快速分析、設計;4. 概念發想、設計方案Workshop;5. 圖面表現法。
Urban design competition plays an indispensable role in the contemporary field of urban planning and design practice. It also serves as the important basis for building the future vision of urban physical development. The whole process takes advantage of the brainstorming from the participants to propose possible solutions to the specific theme on a local site. The entries, on the other hand, provide new concepts and probably urban design theories regarding the competition theme and are presented with precise ground plans and proper presentation that suggest the future urban formation. The course will be taught through lectures, discussions, and various mini workshops with a small-group base. The aim is to instruct students to participate in nationwide urban design competitions or on-going urban planning projects and work on contemporary urban design issues. The teaching and practices will have specific focus on: 1. Introduction of urban design competition. 2. How to choose and interpret an urban design competition and formulate strategies? 3. Rapid analysis and design of urban spaces. 4. Workshops on formulating design concepts and master plan. 5. Design presentation.
