課程概述 Course Description

一般認為哲學為一純理論性的研究,但實際上,哲學研究向來有其鮮明的實踐性格,只是其實踐性不表現在具體行為的指導上,而是表現在價值觀的定向上,這也就是為何哲學家康德(Immanuel Kant) 說:「學習哲學是不可能的,但學習哲學的思維方式卻是可能的。」概略地說,所謂的「實踐哲學」(praktische Philosophie) 包括 「倫理學」(Ethik) 及「法政哲學」(Rechts- und Staatsphilosophie) 兩個研究面向。前者涉及的,是「我想要成為一個什麼樣的人」的問題,後者涉及的,則是「我們想要建立一個什麼樣的國家、成就一個什麼樣的社會」的問題,這兩者深切相關,卻又不盡相同,但無論如何,對現代公民的養成無疑皆是關鍵問題,值得在課堂中深入思索討論。
Philosophy is regarded as a theoretical study, but in fact, it is practical in the following way: although it gives no guidance of specific behavior, but the clear orientation, along with that we are able to derive guidance for every single action. That is why Immanuel Kant said: "Learning philosophy is impossible, but learning the way, how to think philosophically, is possible." Roughly speaking, the so-called "practical philosophy" includes two research areas: "ethics" and "political and legal philosophy". The former intends to give the answer to the question: "What kind of person I want to be?" While the latter to the question: "What kind of country we want to build and what kind of society we can achieve?" These questions are no doubt crucial enquiry for anyone of us and therefore worth to think deeply in the class.
