課程概述 Course Description
旅客與貨物運輸需求為運輸規劃與交通管理相關工作的基礎，本課程旨在介紹運輸需求分析與預測的背景，以及相關的分析方法，主要包括：基本統計方法的介紹、線性迴歸分析、個體選擇模式等。授課內容除了理論模式的介紹之外，並藉由實例研討與案例分析，使學生具備運輸需求分析的基本能力。Passenger and/or freight transportation demands are the fundamental components for transportation planning and traffic management related tasks. This course aims to introduce the background of transportation demand analysis and forecasting, and analytical approaches. The main contents include: 1) introduction and review of statistics, 2) linear regression models, and 3) discrete choice models. Besides introducing theoretical models for transportation demand analysis and forecasting, this course also prepares practical examples and independent studies. The ultimate goal of this course is to equip the enrolled students with the basic capability of transportation demand analysis.
