課程概述 Course Description

科技考古學泛指運用科學技術對考古出土的各類遺存進行分析研究,並從其分析結果解析這些遺存所隱含與過去人類行為相關的訊息。本課程主要介紹目前較常見於考古研究中的各類科學分析,並透過個案分析及實際操作來說明不同方法的原理與限制。
Archaeological science includes all researches adopting scientific approaches to analyze various types of archaeological material and interpreting the outcomes with archaeological perspective in order to understand past human behaviours. This module is designed to give a comprehensive understanding of the most commonly used techniques and methods in the field of archaeological science. Through case studies and lab practicals, this module aims to help students understand the basic principles and limitation of these methods
