課程概述 Course Description

透過震間變形分析可以幫助我們了解地殼變形之特性並可進一步評估地震潛能。同震變形之分析則可以協助解析活動斷層之位置、幾何形貌、及斷層分段等問題。而震後變形之時空演變關係則會反映斷層特性與下部地殼或上部地函之流變學特性。隨著包含GPS、精密水準或是InSAR等大地測量技術之演進,我們可以透過監測地表變形之時空演進來闡明地下深部構造之變形作用。
Analysis of interseismic deformation can help to characterize crustal deformation and evaluate the potential of future large earthquakes. Coseismic deformation helps to recognize the location of active faults, fault geometry, and the implication of fault segmentation. The temporal and spatial variations of postseismic deformation reflect the frictional property of fault and rheology in the lower crust and/or upper mantle. Advances in geodetic techniques, especially the increased precision and spatial and temporal coverage of GPS observations, of precise leveling measurements, and of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) range-change data, have led to vast improvements the ability to detect and monitor the surface motions that reveal the deformation processes at depth.
