課程概述 Course Description

本課程的主旨在讓學生對於蛋白生物科技的發展、生產過程、純化及鑑定、與實際應用有完整之認識與學習,特別是基因重組蛋白及其表現系統。因此本課程著重於基因重組蛋白及其表現系統,並依其表現系統以論文研究實例,供學生研討有關生產基因重組蛋白的關鍵技術包括基因工程、動物細胞培養、微生物發酵、及蛋白質之分離純化和定性定量等,以增加學生學習蛋白生物技術相關課題之興趣。培養學生具有對於現今蛋白生物技術發展及研究構思的相關認識
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of protein biotechnology with respect to protein mass-scale production, purification, characterization, and applications. Especially, protein engineering and expression through recombinant DNA techniques will be emphasized. Various expression systems will be discussed through case studies of research results and selected journal articles. Topics for discussion also include genetic engineering, animal cell culture, microbial fermentation, protein purification and quantification. This course aims at inspiring students to develop appreciation and understanding of the cutting-edge protein biotechnology.
