課程概述 Course Description

個體經濟旨在分析經濟個體(諸如消費者、廠商與國家)的選擇行為,研究其在市場上如何經由彼此間的互動而達成決策的課程。換言之,分析的核心在於討論經濟個體如何在資源稀少性的限制下,以內、外在的成本效益作決策的考量依據,進行理性選擇。 本課程設計係針對經濟學系二年級中級個體經濟學所設計。上學期以需求與供給兩者的互動關係建立基本的認識。主要的範圍包括需求與供給模型及均衡分析、消費者行為與生產者行為。下學期則加強有關政策方面的應用,進一步的對消費者的理性選擇、市場的完全競爭與不完全競爭型態、以及其他有關的社會議題,以個體經濟學的觀點做更深入的探討。主要的範圍包括廠商與市場型態、生產因素市場、一般均衡及福利經濟學等理論。期使學生明瞭消費部門與生產部門間的經濟活動和彼此之間的相互關係,以及如何利用相對價格的功能解決經濟問題。
Microeconomics is a branch of economics that studies how individuals, households, firms and some states make decisions to allocate limited resources, typically in markets where goods or services are being bought and sold. Microeconomics examines how these decisions and behaviors affect the supply and demand for goods and services, which determines prices; and how prices, in turn, determine the supply and demand of goods and services. This course entails the use of intermediate microeconomic theory in the analysis of problems facing decision-makers, such as business, household, and government. In the first semester, topics include demand and supply, consumer behavior, market demand, production and cost, market supply; while in the second semester the topics include the analysis of competitive markets, monopoly theory, monopolistic competition and oligopoly, game theory, factor markets, and topics on general equilibrium analysis.
