課程概述 Course Description

這是博士班課程,但是修過“公共衛生理論、歷史與實踐”課程的碩士班同學,而且希望再進一步追求對公共衛生議題更深刻的分析與理解、以便有助將來或現在投入公共衛生相關事業的同學,都可以修此門課。

課程學習目標 Course Objectives

課程概述:
    健康不平等是公共衛生近年來的重要議題,主要源自於社會結構、資源分配、環境空間與權力的不均衡,使得不同族群間追求健康的機會不均等,進而影響其健康狀態,造成健康差異。本課程希望同學們先有系統地了解何謂健康不平等?哪些問題有健康不平等現象?哪些族群需要被特別關注?如何減少或降低健康不平等?因此,本課程特別選用Levy BS & Sidel VW (2013)主編的「Social Injustice and Public Health」為主要參考書目,在課堂上有系統的討論,以協助同學們進一步追求對公共衛生議題更深刻的分析與理解。

教學目標:
    學生修習完本課程後,將會理解社會不正義對公共衛生的影響,進而能分析其原因,哪些族群受影響?並能研擬出適切的解決方案。
