This course introduces graduate students to the theories and evidence with a core set of conceptual tools necessary for understanding relationships, problems, and policy alternatives in the field of community health.

This course introduces a broad foundation of the theoretical base used for most behavioral interventions in public health today. It also provides a set of evidence and conceptual tools necessary for understanding the relationships between behavioral problems and policy alternatives in the field of health behavior and health promotion.

After finishing this class, students will learn the following knowledge and skills:
The concepts and development of health promotion.
Why people do not practice healthy lifestyle.
How to apply theories and strategies to change human’s behaviors.
How to evaluate a health promotion program.
