課程概述 Course Description
訓練使用一般英文學術性字彙，以增進學生英文口語表達及批判思考能力。課程學習目標 Course Objectives
The course aims to…1. develop students' communicative competence to manage daily school conversations and
presentation skills for general and academic purposes.
2. enhance students' reading comprehension and fluency under the guidance and practices of skills
such as previewing, predicting, skimming, scanning, summarizing, paraphrasing.
3. consolidate students' vocabulary/collocations/language chunks/grammar in use in various
topics/situations and apply them in summary and opinion writing.
4. build up a motivating environment and encourage learners to present personal/group’s points of
view with the critical thinking skills of interpreting, analyzing, comparing, or evaluating, so that they be able to understand multiple interpretations of learners from different cultural backgrounds and the ideologies in texts.
