課程概述 Course Description

甲殼動物病理學不再是冷僻知識,其所相關的議題不僅有助學生對水產無脊椎動物病原體致病機制有新的認知,延伸許多議題如甲殼動物先天免疫反應機制等都是目前熱門且高前瞻性的研究議題,所涉及的不僅為生物的抗病機制,對於分子致病機制所給予的專業知識中,亦可讓學生瞭解病原體分別以特有策略,逃避宿主抗病機制等新穎概念,激發學生創意性思考,甲殼動物病理學應是值得以現代生物學知識為基礎,逐一介紹快速演進的甲殼動物病理學,除上課講義外,著重部分亦包括帶領學生詳閱並分析期刊論文且思考與論辯其中內容,使學生在學習的過程中,能從不同角度接入議題與延伸知識內涵,在課程上,不再只是單方向的獲得教師所給予的專業知識,更期待可藉由互動及多元化議題來帶動思考齒輪互動。
Diseases and Immunology of Crustacean is becoming a new and hot topic from aspect of invertebrate innate immune-responses. This fascinating field of study reveals the mechanisms in fighting diseases and how pathogens strategically evade host immune system. It is a discipline based on our new-era biological knowledge to captivate students` creative thoughts. Students will be assigned to reading and discussions of journal articles written by experts. It aims at enabling students to take on issues from different angles and to solve problems independently as well as through collaboration.

課程學習目標 Course Objectives

本課程授課目標是培養前瞻性水產生物科技人才,因此課程設計原則上是以甲殼動物病理學基礎知識做為每週授課起始點,再以期刊文獻深入帶出專業知識,藉由對當下論點的批判性,加深學生印象與活絡學生思考,並激發學生主動思考與學習的動機,讓學生在有主見、具專業及創意的素養下,洞悉這個時時刻刻在變化的科技世界,不僅對甲殼動物病理學有深入探討的企圖心,更成為有研發能力的前瞻性水產生物科技人才。
