課程概述 Course Description
訓練使用一般英文學術性字彙,以增進學生英文口語表達及批判思考能力。課程學習目標 Course Objectives
Content-based and task-based, this course is to achieve the following objectives:1. Students should be able to understand the main ideas and organization of an article after reading it.
2. Students should be able to understand the correct meanings and usages of words from the AWL, especially words that involve multiple meanings.
3. Students should be able to write a coherently developed and organized paragraph.
4. Students should be able to comprehend a 20-minute video clip by watching and listening to it, partially assisted by English subtitles.
5. Students should be able to respond to a question with at least 3~5 statements.
6. Students are expected to develop awareness of the events of the larger world outside Taiwan, of the times before the modern age.
