INTRODUCTION TO SEMICONDUCTOR LASERS

The semiconductor lasers made of III-V Semiconductor materials will be introduced. The course is mainly containing four chapters by Physics, Fabrication, Characteristics and Application of Semiconductor Lasers. Since the MOVPE is the most important epitaxy technology for realizing a semiconductor laser and Dr. Wei Lin, teacher of this course, has being working in MOVPE for more than 30 years, the MOVPE technology will be a special section in Fabrication.

Course Goal
A. Establish professional research and innovation capacity in microelectronics: to educate students to have professional knowledge of microelectronics, and have the ability to analyze, design, compile, and innovate, in order to build a foundation for academic research and in the business world.
