FUNDAMENTALS OF PN JUNCTIONS

This course will provide students a new conceptual-based comprehensive handout and teaching practice. Strengthen the foundation of pn junctions, establish the right ideas and develop device characterization and analysis capabilities. Let students get a solid concept of pn junctions, master the related carrier transport mechanism and potential/photoelectric effect. Develop students' skills in combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis. Stimulate students' interest in the physical properties and applications of semiconductor materials and pn junctions.

Course Goal
A. Establish professional research and innovation capacity in microelectronics: to educate students to have professional knowledge of microelectronics, and have the ability to analyze, design, compile, and innovate, in order to build a foundation for academic research and in the business world.
