MARINE ACOUSTICS

This course introduces at first how to derive the governing equations for underwater sounds from the continuity equation and Euler equations. The techniques for solving the wave equations at different coordinate systems are then introduced. Reflection and diffraction of sound as well as sound propagation in the bubbly liquid are also covered.

A. Graduates should possess professional abilities to plan and execute in the fields of hydraulic and ocean engineerings.
