FIELD STUDIES IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

In this course, students will act as field researchers, collecting and analyzing data for a research project related to sustainable development. Students will have the opportunity to work with ecologists, spatial planners, engineers, governments, and local community partners to meet project deliverables. The work expectations for this course are demanding, with high expectations for fieldwork. Success in this course is dependent on the students meeting the deliverables, and efficiently working on their research project.

Course Goal
A. Graduates should possess professional abilities to plan and execute in the fields of hydraulic and ocean engineerings.
B. Graduates should possess abilities of leadership and management, broad global perspectives, as well as develop lifelong lesrning habit.
C. Students should possess humanism spirit in the aspects of society, environment and ethics, as well as understand professional ethics and social responsibilities.
