PRACTICUM OF PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to 1.state the motor components of a normal movement behavior, 2.perform basic physical examination of child in the aspects of reflexes, muscle tone, muscle strength and motor function, 3.differentiate the purposes and limitations of various developmental assessment tools, 4.understand the characteristics of children with certain developmental disabilities, e.g. cerebral palsy , myeoldysplasia, muscular dystrophy, Ketc. 5.understand the related issues in the aspect of pediatric physical therapy, e.g. rehabilitation technology, law and regulation regarding early intervention, school system.
