SURFACE ENGINEERING OF MATERIALS

Materials can be given different properties through surface treatment technology, or the original properties can be improved, which can greatly increase the service life and added value of materials. The application of surface engineering, from traditional industries to modern electronic semiconductors and optoelectronics industries, is a very mature engineering technology with rapid changes in technology. This course will discuss the theory and engineering of various coating, chemical conversion, and coating techniques on the surface of materials, as well as the pretreatment techniques required to perform the above-mentioned techniques.
