FERROUS METALLURGY (1)

The purpose of this course is to expect students to understand the basic principles and related engineering capabilities of the steel industry, metallurgical processes. The course content includes history of steel metallurgy and current status, the steel industry, raw materials for iron making, ironmaking, steelmaking, and steelmaking-electric arc furnace, high alloy steel melting technology, energy conservation and waste reduction.
