CULTURAL CREATIVE CITIES

This course demonstrates how a creative city is developed to present well recognised principles of Creative hubs and Scio-cultural clusters in the city. It will also introduce criteria that creative city should meet, to enhance understanding that aspects of Design in the creative city should collaborate with. Students will to understand the cultural function of the city as form of organisation and art of city-making. By the end of the course, students will intake integrated and holistic approach to thinking about and analysing cities. This courses contains the following parts, these are: The Current Understanding of the City and Critical Aspects; The Creative City Concept; Creative Cities in the Context of (Un)Sustainability; The Dynamics of Urban Creativity, Art, Culture, and Sustainable Creative Cities. Moreover, this course will draw students from across disciplines of various fields from arts to sciences. Throughout the involvement of visiting guests this course enhances the interdisciplinary nature of the course.
