MEGA TRENDS AND PARADIGM SHIFTS FOR THE LAST 50 YEARS

This course introduces mega trends and paradigm shifts for the last 50 years, and provides an overview of the first paradigm shift - the personal computer revolution (Mid 70s to 2000), the second paradigm shift - from personal computers to internet and mobility-apps (Mid 90s to 2020), and the third paradigm shift - from internet/mobility to sustainability (2015 to ???) bringing about global changes on technological, social and economic developments, so that students understand the rise and fall of different industries in the process of paradigm shift, foresee the future trend of information technology and economic growth in the new generation, and then recognize that the sustainable development plays a major role for the environmental, social and corporate governance principles (ESG).
