THE HISTORY OF FILM SCORING—ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT

The main content of this course will be focused on the stylistic appreciation of both Hollywood and Taiwanese film scoring industry. The discussions will not only include the historical background of each period but also illustrating the composing styles toward various composers. Moreover, during the lectures, the musical analysis and composing theories for each film will be mentioned as well. Therefore, through the diversified topics, students’ musical appreciation will be built up to a higher level.
